Mental Health (+)

I have officially started on a new course of happy pills! An SSNRI called Desvenlafaxine (brand name Pristiq or Khedezla) which my psychiatrist thought might help improve my quality of life.

We'll know one way or the other in a few weeks I suppose, but it always feels good to be walking a new path when all the ones you know have been leading you in circles for years.

Mental Health Drug Log [1] (cw: unpleasant side effects)

Ooof. I was feeling really queasy this morning and almost threw up on the morning walk with the dogs, but was feeling better after having some water.

Having a resurgence of nausea this afternoon. This is probably my least favorite side effect from medications. :x

I hope this doesn't last too long.

Day 6 of the new SNRI drugs:
I'm doing alright! I've been noticeably happier; at least, enough so that my housemates and I have noticed- and in half the time the effects usually start!

My default state is becoming closer and closer to content each day, and it's so nice it makes me want to cry joyful tears sometimes.

Still having some negative side effects, though. The nausea isn't as bad as it was, but my anxiety has amped up. :blobfrowningbig:

Worth it.

Mental Health Drug Log [3]

There's gonna be a day in the future when I am not feeling nauseous in the morning and that day is gonna be AWESOME :blobcheer:

But it is not this day :bloboh:

Other than that though, I literally had the best weekend in months. I spent most of it with Kelsey and we just cuddled and talked and watched stuff and did errands and it was all just... so good. These drugs are really helping me. :blobsmilehappyeyes:
