So I took the gender role test, and it tracks, more-or-less. :blobcatgooglyshrug:

Also, how does someone who's borderline agender have 159% of genders? That's over a gender and a half! That's too many genders! :bloblaugh:

@mawr

Uhhhh.... I mean... that might be a thing..

I am Undifferentiated-Androgynous. My scores are 50% masculine, 56% feminine. idrlabs.com/gender/result.php? via @idr_labs

Wh-.... wha? like, I don't even really get how self ranking adjectives is remotely a good way to do this? But hey, I'll take it I guess. (108% gender)

I'm not sure how you would accurately gauge that sort of metric without self-reporting. No matter what you either inject the subject's biases or the observer's biases in it.

Self-reporting, if you are honest with your responses at least means you choose them.

@wobblewuffess @mawr okay but like

"compassionate" or "assertive" as gendered traits is some problematic shit <_<

@Draekos @mawr
It is, the test had some interesting explanations for it and admitted it was "meant for measuring traits within the cultural mores surrounding gender roles in the current Western world"

So... wealthy cis folks I imagine

@wobblewuffess @Draekos It's basically a test of "How Most of Western Society Would Gender You in Concept"

@wobblewuffess @Draekos Which is a hella useful metric to have in mind for certain situations in much the same way credit is a useful metric to have in mind for certain situations

@mawr @Draekos
I can definitely agree with that. I can even agree it seems fairly accurate for that metric.
