Messed up the ratios for my jambalaya and was making in a smaller pot than normal. Didn't have room for the rice.. ended up draining 8 cups of liquid from the 6qrt pot with all the meat, veggies and stuff in and cooking the rice separate in that. Came out pretty tasty. I could mix it all together properly now but this way the rice won't get soggy either.

@mawr it came out super tasty and after mixing the rice in before putting it away it kept the proper texture for 3 days until it was all eaten. I'm probably going to try doing it on purpose next time!
