2024 Apple Macbook Air M3 Review (+++)

I've been using it for a couple weeks now and a few things are apparent.

It is the fastest feeling, thinnest, lightest and has the longest battery life (10+ hrs) of any computer I've ever used. :blobmindblown:

The only flaws in the design I've encountered thus far can be remedied with accessories, but they add up to ~$200. The MacBook Pro is probably only slightly more after all that.

Even so, Gosh I love mine. I named it Rhonabwy. :dragncoolmlem_hacker:

@mawr

Really the only accessory I've felt I needed for my M2 was a sticker for the lid. I'm curious what you got, maybe I should get a saturnalia present for Tealseven.

@anthracite I work optimally with three screens- The M2 and M3 won't let you run more than two at a time without a DisplayLink enabled dock, and those can be spendy.

That wasn't really an issue for me; I would have bought a dock anyway just for the ease of only having to connect/disconnect one cable to go from desktop to mobile computing. :blobsmilehappy:

I bought a case for mine as well so I don't worry about stuffing it in my purse amidst goodness knows what and running to catch a bus.

Nice! I picked up a 2023 M3 macbook pro 16 as my replacement personal laptop over black friday. Refurbed was ~900 less than new. It has been pretty fantastic. In retrospective I probably could have gone with a 14 but work gave me a 16 so that is what I've been using for the last two years.
