Ugh.. spend over a month rebuilding this stupid hacked together, glorified PXE boot box and it's done and finally rebuilt, pass it off to engineering and find it out was all for nothing because apparently the RAID array on it was never actually used.. even though they insisted it was and we lost all of the cobbler configs and images anyway...

@Mycroft I'm a pretty big fan of the EdgeRouterX, I picked up one back in October for new house net and it seems like a pretty solid piece of kit for home/SB users. I've been meaning to roll their new firmware on to it because the new UI + CLI tools look really slick. Eventually I'll get around to that and switching an older Cisco Aeronet to just being a dumb AP.

@Mycroft I'm a fan of ubiquiti's edge routers.. but sans wifi. That is actually a lot of stuff to cram into a single box outside of expensive enterprise hardware and even then it will usually lack the wifi AP stuff because it's not something you usually near people.

@Thaminga Work-like things for myself isn't worst... I mean at some point I need to get the house file storage server upping running and deploy a new edge router at home.. but that is so much like work I keep "forgetting" or just not making time to do it. >.>
