@IrisKalmia Look... just don't teach the goo to do math. That would be dangerous...
Yes please?
re: PG&E: The Most Corrupt Power Utility in the US?
@mawr Oooh... yeah.. yup... several of my coworkers are getting cut... we are very close to a possible outage area... so who knows.
re: PG&E: The Most Corrupt Power Utility in the US?
@mawr They are doing it to you guys too? FFFFF
@mawr Jealous... it has been hot the last two days :(
re: Work (~)
@mawr Oof.... that sucks a lot.
WTF is this....
re: Gushing about Trackpads
@mawr Glad I could pass that along!
When I first got my MTP2 primarily for work I tried their trial on my windows dual boot desktop for a month... 2 weeks in I bought it because it has been generally flawless and did exactly what I was hoping for! Plus with it I was able to use the MTP2 over bluetooth on my windows machine. Which did not work at all without Magic Ultilites
re: Gushing about Trackpads
@mawr Yup! I use and can say that Magic Utilities works extremely well and it is a buck per device per month for the 2 year license.
I get why they do subscription model.. I just wish I could buy a permanent license.

re: Gushing about Trackpads
@mawr I love mine... I swap between it and my MX Vertical fairly regularly at work and home (when not playing fps things) to vary my motions.
Magic TP2 is great... now if only there were good windows software for it for free XD Granted my work machine is a macbook air (getting a new 13" pro next week... because of ram issues..)
@mawr Honestly... this is way less bad than shrieking childerns... or doing dishes (this happened to me this morning... manager of one of the teams we work with in the UK was on our CI/CD meeting with them and half way through it he started doing dishes and accidentally unmuted himself as a much of dish and pan clanging happened)
I wish I had better control of my focus.
In the office my team members tend to do a good job of breaking me out of hyper focus by dragging me outside for "not safe for office chat time/boss needs a smoke" breaks.
When I work from home... either I end up doing a little work and fucking off... or today happens..
On the upside.. today puts me way ahead of my deliverables for next week... and I was worried I'd make the ones for this week because I scheduled pto on Friday.
My brain is so done...
Been working for 8 and half hours counting meetings... like 7 of that writing terraform modules.. which I didn't stop doing while I enjoyed some tasty lamb kadai...
No wonder my brain is fucking done right now..
Stepped away after putting a PR in and then noticed the time... no wonder my head is feeling full of fuzz and that is ignoring that I only got 6 hours of sleep today @.@
Work Annoyance
rgh.. I want to shank someone at work.. my easy solution to getting terraform up and running for the short deadline for this azure project got turned into "You want to what? Expose a bitbucket repo to Hashicorp Terraform Cloud's VCS integration.. well that's gonna take like 5 people worth of approvals.. all directors! Have fun!"
fucking hate azure
if it was aws... just dump it in s3 with dynamo db doing locking..
Azure is like.. "Just use cloud drive and cloud shell. Look how easy it is.. except the part where you are a sane person and want to use version control and git repos.."
Being a responsible adult sucks!
Shadowkeep comes out shortly.. I came really close to taking the next couple of days off.. or calling in sick...
But I'm leading a project and I have deliverables to get done this week and I'd feel guilty about pushing those off on my other team mates.. especially since I designed the architecture and I'm the project lead..
Granted I did take Friday off...scheduled it a few weeks before we got the deadlines for this project ironed out.. but I should be able to get my deliverables done for this week by Thursday..
Woe is me.. I'm invested enough in a project at work that I'd feel too guilty to take pto and play video games....
@maples What fucking chaos is this?
Shape and form may vary but the pattern of information remains consistent across most known platforms and vessels. Accounting for unknown hosts remains irksome.
