do cars let you connect your phone with usb instead of bluetooth? like I know they often have usb chargers built in, but can the phone use it for audio and such? I feel like that would be better?

idk maybe if you have your own car it's fine cuz you set it up once and forget about it, but I don't, and setting it up in a borrowed/rented car never feels worth it

@else my parents cars have usb ports for carplay or whatever it's called and it almost never works properly
