I wonder how many times an american is eligible to go to the voting booth per year on average. with federal primary and general every other year, it's definitely greater than one

it is merely the holding of an election that makes a democracy. the more elections held, the more democracy. it doesn't matter what's on the ballot or how the ballots are counted. in a perfect democracy, a good citizen would go to the polls every day, and cast a vote directly into a shredder

@else i wholeheartedly agree! in fact, we just had our fifth election cycle since 2019 (sixth since 2018 if you count municipal elections), so if anyone tells you israel is undemocratic they're clearly wrong
