mh~, re: old post, mh-
i think actually sometimes i forget the feeling. sometimes it does go away
i don't control it (yet? or won't ever? idk) but sometimes that feeling is just.... gone. for a few seconds, a few minutes, a few hours, a day or two
sometimes weeks go by and i've barely felt it at all
maybe the right drugs will make it stay that way for longer
mastodon features i want that are probably not too difficult to implement but i'm not sure i could add myself:
1. option to have the post button greyed out until i've chosen if i want it public/private/unlisted (so basically remove the default and choose every time)
2. option to, despite what i just said, have replies default to the same public-ness level as the post they're replying to (or maybe just show in the posting ui, what the public-ness level of whatever i'm replying to is)
@tillianisafox who knows, maybe that's what that sign was doing 🙃
re: gentle parenting, social media, mh-
honestly i sometimes wanna randomly show up on the doorstep of some people from gentle parenting tiktok and ask if they'll adopt me 🥺🥺🥺
@anarchiv thanks! i found it on line whilst surfing the Web
this feels like such a basic 2nd grade math thing, but i just realized that:
5' = 150cm i.e A Short Person(tm)
6' = 180cm i.e A Tall Person(tm)
and because 4" = 10cm, i can quickly convert to metric (i.e conceptualize the height in my head) by remembering:
5'0" = 150cm
5'4" = 160cm
5'8" = 170cm
5'12" (6') = 180cm
amazing; incredible; i now finally have a cheat sheet and or some basic intuition for people's height expressed in ft'in"
autism, computer games
games can be extremely frustrating to me because while they do use fixed sets of rules to determine everything, a lot of them don't actually TELL me what all those exact rules are, so i just have to guess and i always guess wrong and lose and get really frustrated
and like, if that's what i wanna do,, i can just go hang out with some neurotypicals instead
re: food, israel sucks
anyway it's like 7:36 am i'll go buy overpriced israeli baked goods or sth
re: food, israel sucks
(sure, not every store had something i'd be willing to eat at every given moment, but there were just so many times when it did help.....)
re: food, israel sucks
do you know how liberating it was for me to be able to go to a store and buy something approximating an actually relatively balanced dinner at 2 am??????
re: -, living through historic times (tm)
yet another side effect of landlords raising rents and pushing more and more people out to other cities and or the suburbs
