I'm going to post something here I'm probably going to regret. But I do not believe what is being said about glip and eeve. Decade old comments taken out of context and such do not make the case to me and kiwifarms being the source of all of it makes me distrust it.

I'm not sure what to believe in light of some of the more recent evidence that's come about. I just want to be away from all the stress of the endless cycle of everything.

@xurnami I do agree that nothing that is being used as evidence against eevee specifically is particularly valid; she was in a really bad spot when she said what she did and the Internet was a different place at the time, too.
On the other hand, Marl has been Quite Notorious in many circles for a long time and I have a hard time believing he's innocent at this point.
The whole situation is incredibly unfortunate, in any case.

@fluffy If Marl is an actual problem, why is it always Eevee and Glip who are brought up? Marl is always a sideshow to the discussions I see about this.
But yeah, I can see how I could have ended up in the same place too.

@xurnami I mean don’t get me wrong, both of them have shown off some bad opinions and attitudes at times in their pasts which makes them particularly easy to dredge up stuff to recontextualize. And they’ve made many, many enemies in how they’ve dealt with certain interpersonal matters and various modes of discourse. So that also makes them easy targets.

@xurnami because glip and eevee are 🎵internet famous🎶 so the usual cadre of shitlords want to take them down a peg. And focusing on them being complicit in someone else’s shit (and then recontextualizing everything they can find) is the most efficient way.
