This is the original intro to the MLP Movie. It got canned.

Step 1: Find a Hasbro executive.
Step 2: Kill them.
Step 3: Find another.
Step 4: Beat them with the one from Step 1.
Step 5: Repeat until they stop ruining everything they touch.

What a complete fucking waste of someone's talent and effort, by some fucknugget who's probably never pushed a pixel in their life.

Complete and utter agreement on all axes. So much of that movie made me go "Oh, if only they hadn't let corporate fuck with this..."

@Phorm @zebratron2084 See also: the entire rest of the franchise. Breaking any and all coherent world-building to sell more toy sets and also breaking characterization because an episode needs to be made.

I don't necessarily agree with that, personally. But I suppose I understand the general idea.

Examples for point 1:
Princess Cadence’s sudden appearance
Twilight being a princess
Burning down the old library for a crystal castle
The S8 students

For point 2:
All the times Twilight forgets she can just use magic to solve the episode or numerous character regressions or the inconsistent Pinkie handling

I'd rather not be a part of this conversation any longer.

I mean, FFS, how do you give Daniel Ingram a goddamned full orchestra, and then decide "Nah, let's not use that"???
