There are inherent issues with taking advice from beings of vastly superior/not directly comparable intelligence:

1) Upside: they can solve problems in ways that you would never or cannot think of, including problems you don't know you have.

2) Downside: errors in transmission of their ideas are almost inevitable.

3) DANGER DANGER: you have no way to evaluate their advice. If you can understand it, it's something you could have thought of yourself. That doesn't make it worthless, but it's not the big boost you were hoping for. The bits which may really change things are precisely those which make no damn sense. Or you may end up growing eyes on your insides.

4) If these beings would stick around and provide feedback, that would help mitigate (3) a lot, but they don't.
