disenchantment season 2 spoiler +/-

uhhhhg what is with this show and randomly losing track of the fucking premise.

starts off really solid, witchery, evil cult, trip to hell, elf exsanguination, pirate lizard, zog's hilarious xenophelia, all good.

Then around the end of the season it introduces a steam punk kingdom, and suddenly dreamland is backward for believing in magic.

They got turned to stone by magic.
you met the devil with magic.
you exsanginated elves for magic.
you live in a place where magic yields tangible results.
I mean really if you were building to a magic is bull shit ending you shouldn't have had ANY of these things

@001zlnv Uhh, how many times did Futurama flipflop on whether Bender gets drunk on alcohol or gets drunk when he doesn't have enough?

@zebratron2084

a lot, but usually in service of a dumb joke.
this is flip flopping for faux drama.
and it stands out because there were so few of these unforced errors in the first half of the season

@001zlnv I mean, you're not wrong—I've been enjoying the season despite it, but it did seem like a weird turn. And I really liked where the whole Dagmar plot was going, would have liked to see it stick to the damn arc.

@zebratron2084

The season is over all really good until the last 2 or 3 episodes. where they just forget their world building.
