🧩
So, I've volunteered to write puzzles again for my workplace's yearly engineering get-together. It's yet another project on top of the daily sketch journal and the Elseways wiki, and that is sort of a lot for me. So I'm going to combine two of those.
When I write a puzzle, I'll upload it here as that day's sketch - this isn't the final version as will be displayed at the event, of course, but a draft. The point here is for you to try to solve it if you want - I could really use feedback on these drafts, especially if the puzzle is buggy or awkward.
The goal is to have ones that make good posters. No pen or paper required (though you can take notes if you want).

@dodec Honestly, I blew it but I think it's pretty solid. I was SO CLOSE, just let myself get discouraged when the word lengths didn't quite match up with the numbers. I also failed to notice the extra gems, so this is DEFINITELY a failure of my own follow-through and not of the puzzle. I think it's just about right, well-hinted and follows a relatively common puzzle style. Being off by one felt like a bit big of a monkey wrench for novice puzzlers, but for engineers... yeah, feels just about right. I look forward to seeing more of these.
