EGS continuing its streak of abruptly making me hate it by having the sole gay male character imply he plans to use gender TF for the explicit purpose of tricking straight men into compromising situations

hey, really: what the FUCK, my dude? why does this seem acceptable to you? this is literally perpetuating the -single- most-pernicious, predatory stereotype about queer people there is. fuckin' STOP IT, you unbelievable creep

The worst part is? It's not like the comic is even EVOCATIVELY HORNY. It's not playing around with genuinely socially-challenging sexual mores, or gender identification as anything other 'i like when a girl appear.' It's just NOTHING, this hapless, empty shrug that endlessly faux-sexualizes the same batch of conventionally-attractive teenagers over and over and over again without actually saying a single goddamned thing of import about anything.

the author has somehow managed to make one of the most complicated, scintillatingly-taut aspects of human identity into a dull, tedious slog that isn't even acceptable wank-fodder. christ, it's enough to make me go full Art Cop from Disco Elysium
