@Phorm Hey, no foolin', I MISS my parents' old air popper. The microwave stuff just isn't the same... and it's all about those sexy jet-stream aesthetics.

(Can genies live in air poppers? I mean, there's oil, there's heat, could it technically be considered a lamp?)

I hear you on that, actually. I've been trying my best to make popcorn from bulk kernels these days, and it's just not that easy anymore. There's 101 different ways to do it with a wok on the stove, but it's clumsy and also the kernels only /half/ pop in my experience.

I even have a silicone microwave popcorn popper that's supposed to use bulk kernels just fine, but my microwave just doesn't like it. I can blast a handful of kernels for 10 minutes, and only 1/4 of them will pop. Air poppers were a nice thing to have.

(You know, I have no idea? But now I'm just imagining an early-electronica mashup of 'The Streets of Cairo' and 'Popcorn'.)
