For younglings: chicken pox was a disease everybody used to get, and we thought was fine even though it didn't turn you into a chicken at ALL. Then in 1992 someone said, what if instead we *didn't* all get chicken pox? This sounded like a smashing idea, and we got vaccinated, and put a stop to this pox, and that's been great.
We should give that someone a cake or something in thanks.
@zebratron2084 Yeah, that's the last I heard about how cats are taking it. Which is good for the neighborhood ferals that my mother-in-law caretakes, although I worry she's going to get something from them.
More likely though she's going to get it from her noodge of a neighbor, the one who keeps coming up to show the weeds they'd pulled from her yard since she 'was having trouble keeping it tidy'.
