It creates kind of a concerning caste system in our household, honestly. :) There are the Elite Aristocats who can make the leap from the driveway fence to our window and come right in (i.e. Shadow and Sugarfoot), and there's the Lumpen Purrletariat who are still forced to compete for a chance at the front door crack.
Needless to say, we do our best to alleviate this inequity with a robust social democratic program of equally distributed food and scritchies. In practice, this mostly means scooping Shemp away from the food bowls when he's being a big butthead so his family can actually get in there too. :p
