re: US Pol (--)
@Phorm @anthracite I'm still hopeful and VERY cautiously optimistic. Trump's last couple of attempts at an October Surprise flopped big-time and I definitely smell weakness. Plus Biden's polls are at least out of standard margin-of-error and 2016-error ranges, though I don't like how close things are in Pennsylvania one bit. I'm ready for anything, but still very tempted to place a large wager on Trump winning just to get Murphy's Law on our side...
re: US Pol (--)
@zebratron2084 @anthracite PA absolutely scares me right now, because it seems extremely uncertain in either direction, and everything looks to hinge directly on their outcome.
I'm also pretty wary of the efficacy of polls at all? Like, there are so, so, SO many people here in the bay area of CA that I've met personally who are all for Trump, but very quietly, that it makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up.
And that's not even getting into the whole Supreme Court nonsense, and the obvious win Trump gets there so long as he can punt a case that far up the ladder.
I don't know! I'm scared and assuming the worst, because the worst frequently happens. Particularly when people presume the worst can't happen.
I hate it all!
