social anxiety, internet
You know how that article just dropped about reputation scammers, sites that you can pay a fee to "remove" (temporarily) slanderous posts that it turns out they themselves put up in the first place?
It got me thinking. You know what service I'd really love to see somehow? Kinda the opposite: you pay the service and they root out every single person on the Internet who likes you, and you like right back, but has been afraid to talk to you because they think you hate them.
Maybe it's too much to even hope that I have any of those left. I can't even begin to convince myself everyone who hasn't contacted me in the last year didn't just... kinda figure out what I'm really like and rightly bail on me. Shrug.
And the cost of failure is just so high if you try to reach out to someone and find out you were RIGHT that they hate you. Or worse, they don't like you but are too polite not to pretend things are fine.
I would pay so much money to have someone else do the reaching out FOR me. ;___;

@zebratron2084 1) *hugs if wanted*
2) I love the idea of a service that does this, and as an extension does the "you both think the other is cool and want to be friends but aren't sure the other is open to it (not because you think they hate you, but that they have no idea/interest in who you are)"
