"What can change the nature of a [person]?" is often asked and among the least popular answers among the cishet is "Ourselves." Especially with transhumanism. If you could increase your memory and learning skills, or your empathy, you would not be the same person you were before in the same way that you're probably not the tryhard demanding purity you were in your teens. Changing how you interact with the world also changes who you are. As queer folks advocating radical self-authorship, we mean to become different people than who we are now, and that's okay, and even amazing.
