Thinking of that 90s Usenet Guy who was adamant there was no need for Interstate highway exits to be numbered by the mileage marker (eg, exit 82, 96, 102), insisting that a sequential index was fine (eg, exit 6, 7, 8), because he could find no legitimate reason that any driver should care how far away the exit they were looking for was.

@Austin_Dern I mean, I disagree 100% with him, but I *almost* get it. You're talking to someone who gets physically angry whenever someone mentions I-99 or I-238. >___<

@zebratron2084 Oh, I love a good system. But I also love the system straining against the needs of the facts on the ground and spinning off into bizarre exceptions. I-238 is to be celebrated, for making the world richer and for thoroughly confusing those circuit-board maps of the highway system!
