God dammit, my poor stepdad is stuck in the hospital again.

Mom has absoutely assured me it's not really life-threatening, and she would never lie to me about something like this.

But he's got another round of breathing and heart problems and they wanna keep him for ANOTHER three days for observation while they adjust the meds that are probably causing it.

And that's a colossal morale hit for a guy who's already had a pretty rough couple years, on top of COPD and the aftermath of colon cancer.

And I really wonder how many of these he's got left in him, pushing age 71. And how soon I'm gonna have to go into Filial Duty mode to make sure Mom is OK if and when something ever happens to him.

Thank god for Breeze Airlines, at least I can get home fast and cheap when the days come. ;__;

In the meantime, the poor guy's *probably* gonna be OK but he's understandably very grump, and he's a super nice guy who deserves much better.
