Pooltoy Austin drawing attention to *something* in this #CoatiMonday picture Ardarius commissioned from club182738933 on vk. Love to see seams like this all over my body, too.
Fun fact: coati tails are not prehensile, but they look so much like they *should* be that nobody's ever disagreed with the artists.
The last of Loam's gift icon sketches for #CoatiMonday today! It's another sweet, slightly surprised, George Herriman-esque look for me.
Spend #CoatiMonday looking down a magnificent nose thanks to FA/techno. in an iconic pose! Also I really like the 70s Variety Show Backdrop here. Adds a lovely touch. https://www.furaffinity.net/view/41720298/
Chanspot's vintage #CoatiMonday piece captures me at a moment when I swapped my ears with a bunny's. It's a flattering image.
The 'Happy 10th' implies the picture's from either 2005 (my character's 10th anniversary) or 2008 (SpinDizzy Muck's 10th). I think the latter's more likely, as I remember the swapping. Also not sure what's being tossed at me there.
(I don't have an original URL for this, I'm afraid, and can't swear that Chanspot drew this rather than commissioned the gift.)
Hexadoodle Frog reveals how I get that great Shiny Day form this #CoatiMonday: it's all about knowing where to go. https://www.furaffinity.net/view/42225400/
I believe this, after a quarter-century, is the first picture to show me in the act of transmuting or transforming, which seems odd considering how much that theme interests me.
(For those who worry, yes, it's transmuting into a living crystal. Won't be frozen in place until the next discoverer, unless I feel like playing a prank.)
Ready to hit the pool this #CoatiMonday thanks to FA/RyuCas helping me get in shape! I've had a couple inflatable pictures before but this is my first color (and lineless) poolring and it's a delight.
"Just because I took *this* peanut butter doesn't mean I took *the* peanut butter!"" Wonderful #CoatiMonday art by pencilforge on Birdsite.
I don't get to play the side of me that's a bit peanut-butter-mad enough and I'm glad to have something showing it off.
(That side is partly on real me, and partly on a rescued raccoon I used to sponsor who'd had his head trapped in a peanut butter jar.)
Art trade #CoatiMonday! @/ChavapaBearTW@Birdsite was kind enough to swap arts and to give me a great-looking nose.
My half of the trade is at https://www.furaffinity.net/view/42325797/
My dear bride BunnyHugger sculpted this for our anniversary and I share it this #CoatiMonday.
And how did she keep secret sculpting, firing, and painting a pretty good-size figure during a time when neither of us left the house? She said to me, "Well, I think I'll do something boring, no need to check on me for a couple hours," and that made sense to me.
That's our Tri-Zone pinball machine used as background. Not its permanent home.
A vintage #CoatiMonday! A long while ago my not-yet-bride created this image of me as a coatipede or coatipiller (whichever name less unsettles you; I have people close to me with centipede phobias). It's the longest me, and a rarely-seen side of me. https://www.furaffinity.net/view/1871162/
Keep cool this #CoatiMonday! FA/bakertoons was good enough to help me chill out in classic style. https://www.furaffinity.net/view/42699351/
I've been feeling that UPA/Jay Ward/Total-TV look lately so I'm glad to have something in that tradition.
And a happy #CoatiMonday sprawl into late summer! FA/techno. helped the coatipiller/coatipede become a less-rarely-seen long version of me. ... Also I'm gratified to learn how many people would like me to have so very much belly and paws.
Hexadoodle Frog surprises me with a wonderful #CoatiMonday demonstration of how long my tail can be! https://www.furaffinity.net/view/42979746/
Back in the 90s someone on FurToonia assumed coatis were my fan-species of Marsupilami, a character I had not heard of. But I liked what still pictures the Internet had. Also when they extended my tail so very long. I'm shocked I took 23 years to get a picture of the idea, though with someone else extending my tail this time.
Handling a #CoatiMonday heat wave with FA/techno. giving me a change of phase. https://www.furaffinity.net/view/42762904/
Something got me thinking about how transmutation is great fun but you almost never see vapor morphs, so I was happy techno. was interested in this challenge.
Ever have a #CoatiMonday where you're a bag-of-holding? It's a texture-shifting adventure that FA/KieliIndustries illustrates! This was a difficult idea to depict, not just for the burlap texture but for showing it doing something. Kieli (whose Elliot arctic fox provides the holding) did heroic work turning it into something manageable.
https://www.furaffinity.net/view/43072504/
('Magic burlap sack' is a wonderful enough weird texture but the laces added something surprising and great to it.)
A couples #CoatiMonday, with this convention sketchbook picture of me and BunnyHugger drawn by Ifus showing how we pretty much spend our days, given the chance. https://www.furaffinity.net/view/3711512/
BunnyHugger likes to get a couples picture every convention we go to, but it's been harder finding artists she trusts enough to give a sketchbook with ten years of couples pictures to for the weekend.
A shiny #CoatiMonday is always welcome but spending it part-kobold? Credit FA/KieliIndustries for getting me into this fix!
Transmutation is more my thing but I'm not unwilling to spend a weekend as coati-and-something. This was a fun bit.
First snap of fall weather for a #CoatiMonday? Enjoy a mug of hot cocoati with whipped cream, courtesy of FA/techno., in a picture done as part of an art trade.
Chocolate (and related substances) seem like an inevitable transmutation for coatis and I'm not sure why I've never really gone in for them.
In for much-repairs this #CoatiMonday! A Termyotter raffle gets me in one of their slick robot forms, but, you know, this month. https://www.furaffinity.net/view/43628736/
Termyotter has always been one of the best goo artists, and a fantastic bot artist, and feel so lucky to have had this chance. I have without exaggeration been hoping for decades they might draw me someday.
Also, ooh, but a body held together by force fields is sweet.
This #CoatiMonday FA/techno. helps me find a new position and helps me keep it together after a tough week! https://www.furaffinity.net/view/43808553/
I'm happy to finally have a couple modular pictures, especially this, where techno. got imaginative and a bit weird and delightful.
Please don't be alarmed by me in pieces like this. Right now I need the time to just hang around.
A precious #CoatiMonday! This adorable ceramic figure was an anniversary gift from my dear bride. From Etsy(?), from I believe a German maker who was under-pricing their work.
The rabbit in the background is the same old one you've been seeing for months around here.
Partner to last #CoatiMonday is this standing ceramic figure figurine, an anniversary gift from my dear bride. It also is from that Etsy(?) seller who was, apparently, under-pricing their work.
Our rabbit, whom you've seen in my month-starting 'rabbit rabbit' pictures before, wonders why this isn't about her.
A last blast of summer for this #CoatiMonday, me getting to the beach with Lobowolf the inflatable wolf! A gorgeous piece illustrated by FA/RyuCas, https://www.furaffinity.net/view/44188045/
Lobowolf's been a friend for nearly a quarter-century now; he's among the first inflatables I knew and it's great having a fun time with him.
A heartfelt #CoatiMonday with this heartfelt picture of me and my bride, by FA/ToonFX.
Sketchbook commission from either Morphicon or Motor City Furry Con in 2014 and I don't know why I hadn't shared it before. https://www.furaffinity.net/view/13333067/
My own art for this #CoatiMonday. On SpinDizzy Muck, PatchO'Black painted me up for the Halloween season as this heck-coati. It's a bit warm!
https://www.furaffinity.net/view/44423483/
(Patchy often paints me and I like it every time. He also painted bat-wings on but I can't draw well enough for *that*.)
Feeling like a Jersey devil for this #CoatiMonday! FA/techno. was inspired and drew me in the heck-coati pelage. https://www.furaffinity.net/view/44443905
... I have no idea how to work wings, so, sorry they're going to be fwapping you in the face like that.
A first-plush #CoatiMonday, with a doll I got in the 90s, sending the North American Bear Co. a check after asking if they still had these.
The person answering e-mails didn't know this was even on their web site but loved it and said she put one in their store window, first of many people I've given the good news of coati loveliness to.
The thread is for a tiny booklet of coati facts I could never get back around its neck. The front legs are on hinges to swing a bit.
A reminder of summer this #CoatiMonday, as FA/KieliIndustries sets me in pool ring form. The catch in this sort of form is what you do for a cupholder ... https://www.furaffinity.net/view/44718152/
In this vintage #CoatiMonday convention sketchbook picture, FA/Amethyst answers the question, what if my wife and I were cute? Like, *really* cute? https://www.furaffinity.net/view/7923881/
Originally done at Morphicon 2012, which was the last of those conventions I missed because I was too busy getting ready for our wedding to spend a weekend out in Ohio.
For #CoatiMonday enjoy this actual rubber coati, just like everyone wants. This balata rubber figure is one of three that I got at the Smithsonian National Zoo in 1999. I don't know why it has stripes down the back.
It's a bit whitened with age; for proper care it needs to be rubbed with skin lotion now and then and I haven't been reliable about that.
This #CoatiMonday my friend DeeterRabbit on birdsite ponders the question, what if I were anthro ... and buff? He thinks I might just look a little something ... like this.
Deeter's an old friend (I shared a room with him at ConFurence East II, in 1996!) and would like to see a bit more toon muscle on me. (I feel like a 1980s action figure doll.)
(Picture CW: partial eye contact, toon)
For the #CoatiMonday before Christmas, sharing an old gift. @/SimonTesla@chitter.xyz found this delightful shotglass and thought of me.
I like having the chance to show off coatis as climbing animals since it's rather fun to hang around like this.
This #CoatiMonday I send the hope you were able to see some good holiday decorations and share in the spirit of joyful light.
My own art, and for a change, one where I tried doing a lot of stuff and it mostly came out like I imagined it would. Really feel myself punching above my weight, this picture, thanks in large part to ProCreate's 'light pen' brush and other special effects brushes.
Ring in 2022's first #CoatiMonday with another of the Smithsonian Zoo balata-rubber figures I got back in '99! The white patches are from the rubber drying out. This is supposed to be prevented or treated by rubbing the figure with skin lotion, but it's a small figure and many of the finer details are difficult to treat. Anyway the raggedness seems to fit my state at the dawning of the year.
Spending this #CoatiMonday with a piece of my own art, reflecting how cute it would be to carry a bindle on a coati's tail. This was originally inspired by how I set up for this time we moved SpinDizzy Muck to a new server and I drew it up not quite ten years after the fact. https://www.furaffinity.net/view/44555986/
And now the final balata-rubber #CoatiMonday! The third and most battered of the souvenirs I got at the National Zoo in 1999. This one's aged the hardest and I suspect I need to take a toothpick to it and sweep out old dried-up bits of skin lotion and reapply fresh aloe until it's quite as vibrant and glossy as it should be.
A #CoatiMonday for meeting your heroes! I forgot last week was the anniversary of Popeye's debut, so, have this now. It's my own art ( https://www.furaffinity.net/view/38887320/ ) disputing whether coatis are Jeeps and there's a fair case for it.
(There's some resemblance but my suspicion is when Elzie Segar designed Jeeps he was thinking of a way he could draw Krazy Kat in his own strip. He and Krazy Kat's cartoonist were fans of each other.)
Getting around this #CoatiMonday! FA/techno. was doing some round icons and who can resist being a ball?
Fun fact: my player has such tight hamstrings that he can't even *look* at this picture.
@Austin_Dern *pines for Brookline, MA and the days of decent bagels* ;___;
New Orleans does NOT know what bagels are. They think that they are bread doughnuts made of the same starchfoam as supermarket white bread. I don't think they've been within 400 miles of a barley malt solution. >____<
@zebratron2084 Oh gads yes. One of the things I appreciated about my poor stolen job was occasionally getting flown back to New Jersey and being able to stuff myself silly.
