I don't know what the big deal about Bull of Heaven is, I make 12+ hour tracks all the time by falling asleep with the computer running while recording in VCVrack.
@zebratron2084 Bull of Heaven is an experimental band known for making incredibly long compositions, with pieces ranging in length from "over an hour" to "several million years" that consist of one or a couple of slowly developing loops at various speeds.
VCVrack is a program that let's you make music like you would on a modular synth, by putting cables between modules that make or modify sound. The output is often a slowly developing loop of some description.
This post isn't even me being sarcastic as much as it's me waking up in the morning, realizing that a) I had left my computer on with the record module in VCVrack running, b) I now had a 12 hour long wav file consisting of a single synth loop repeated many, many times and c) I had basically composed a Bull of Heaven song entirely by accident.
