Anxiety
Working from home today, but I still feel completely and utterly trashed. >.<

Argh. I had a horrible panic attack last night and had to take my emergency meds. Glad I have those. >.<
Gave me a lot of hope that at least some people actually understand.
I'm sure a few of you saw the nasty crap that someone at Google wrote the other day.

Dakota headed out a couple hours ago. Missing her already and she's just barely left. :(
Don't get me wrong, I'm super excited for her, and really really love her, but this is fucking hard. >.< We've lived together for almost three years now. >.<
Suuuuuper tired and bummed that Dakota is leaving for school. >.< Just hit me this morning finally, when puppy looked at me and I realized I wasn't going to see her bright eyes in the morning anymore. >.<
About 15 minutes in, it goes completely fucking bonkers. :D

I have these bloody things in 5 locations around the world ranging from China to Hungary, and because they keep passing packets, until I checked the switches themselves, I had no idea of the failure condition. D:
(And no, we weren't looking at SNMP since they were used as fairly dumb access switches, but holy shit am I implementing that now for anything in the future!)
PSA: Linksys LGS552 switches are steaming piles of shit. 11/17 failed in about 12 months, and some of those switches have only been installed for a couple months.
Something silently corrupts their firmware, or they fail outright. They keep passing packets until rebooted, but the management CPU is toast.
I discovered this accidentally today while troubleshooting something else, then checked a few switches and freaked out. D:

Random thought: I am thankful to the Trump administration for one thing. They've laid bare Republicans' feelings towards minorities. There will be no more weasel words allowed after this. They're going to have to fight and say what they mean.
