Quick— What are the colors of the Pride flag?
I've been commissioned to do a banner to be flown during Pride here in Seattle, and I'm trying to decide what variation of the Pride flag to implement. We're all familiar with the six-stripe design, but I've also seen an eight-stripe design gain traction, and there have been several other interesting variations, each trying to accomplish goals both symbolic and practical.
I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Reading this article, I'd say 'a rainbow' is the important indicator, more than the number of stripes, so... go for the full 8. :-D

@irisjaycomics That's what I'm inclined to go with, but I wanted to make sure I wouldn't somehow be stepping into a total shitstorm (or at least one I couldn't reasonably defend my position in.)

@ElectricKeet I’m all in on the 8-color flag. I’ve also seen a variety that includes the trans flag colors in there too (see attached image)

@KoBunny There's a lot to be said for that one also. I've also seen variants of it using chevrons from the left instead of diagonal stripes, which is interesting.
The tough part is that I find _all_ of these flags supremely objectionable on purely aesthetic grounds, but I keep having to stuff those complaints back into Tupperware (burp that lid!) because they're basically irrelevant for this.
@ElectricKeet Uh... black, brown, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, violet, grey, white?
No wait, that's the resistor number code.
@KinkyTurtle Accurate for the first eight, though!

@ElectricKeet Woah, I hadn't known the original meanings of the colors! That's pretty rad.
