An open letter to software developers. (micro-rant)

Dear software developers,

If you work on a product that insists on requiring a networked login yet doesn't provide a way for the user to mark multiple IP addresses and/or systems as valid to remain logged in, good news! You have found the next feature that needs developing and everything else should stop until it's done.

If that's not your decision, find whose it is, and hire bouncers to make sure they have to enter their full password every time they try to open any door in their house, personal vehicle, or office.

Sincerely and with all love,
An Actual User of Software Who Is Tired of Logging In Yet Again Just Because They Brought Their Laptop into Another Room in ihe Same Damn House.

@ElectricKeet why wouldn't they support sessions in this day and age?

@confusedcharlot Because Autodesk, that's why. *sighs* Tons of websites too.

Granted, I'll grudgingly accept this over the thing Adobe did for Creative Suite where the software could only be authenticated on two systems at once... and if a system suddenly blew up, the only way to get that authentication slot back was to _call them on the phone._
