it's kind of odd how some currency symbols come before the amount like "$5" but when spoken the currency name comes after, like "five dollars"
@Felthry It definitely differs heavily per language, but I haven't seen much if any correlation with what people actually -say- and where the currency sign goes; most languages say [number] [currency], but nevertheless write things out as $/€/£x.xx.
I know some currency symbols go after the number (and some can go in either place, like € can) but is there any alignment between that and the positioning when spoken in the local language?
