which I guess makes sense as those are about the furthest apart you can make five vowel sounds
why do back vowels seem to always get rounding though?
@Felthry @Zeny@snouts.online My best guess is to push the sounds even further apart; making the front vowels rounded and the back ones unrounded would produce far more similar sounds (/y ɯ ø ɤ a/).
