moon pies:
@Felthry looks like it's a US thing and not even in the entire US?
@noiob yeah I guess it is! but it's like. one of those things that's always been ubiquitous in our life so it's weird thinking that people have never heard of them
food
@Felthry huh, from pics I thought they were like, regular-sized cookies, but Wikipedia says 4 inches (10 cm), that's pretty dang large
re: food
@noiob they come in various sizes! these mini ones we have right now are more normal cookie sized, maybe two inches across
@IceWolf It's a thing with like
two soft cookies with marshmallow sandwiched between them, the whole thing coated in a chocolate candy
you can also get them in vanilla and banana flavors
@Felthry Sooo it's like a chocolate-covered Oreo? :3
Huh, sounds tasty! *licks fangs*
@IceWolf No, the cookie part is really soft, between a soft-baked cookie and a cake, and it's actual marshmallow filling, not the sugar cream that oreos have
@Felthry Yum. That sounds /really/ good.
@Felthry I want to vote for both 1 and 2.
With a significant side helping of "not as good as I remember from childhood".
@starkatt yeah, that's a good point
I'm surprised how many "what's a moon pie?"s we've gotten already
