@Felthry well, for starters we don't have key limes
@noiob yeah and that feels weird to us! because they've been in the produce section of every grocery store we've ever been to
of course I understand that they don't grow them over there and there's not enough demand to import lots of them but it still feels weird on some instinctual level because we're so used to them being just a thing you can buy at any old grocery store
-F
@Felthry fun fact: they first time I heard about Key Lime Pie is when it was the codename for Android K
@noiob probably. come to think of it, i don't know if we've seen them since moving here to the northwest, maybe they're just common in the south
-F
@Felthry they probably only grow in the south
@noiob would make sense, citrus tends to like that kind of climate
-F
@Felthry I'm also guessing other cultivars can handle shipping better
@noiob key limes have a really thin rind as citrus goes, so that makes sense
-F
@Felthry bet it's different by region
