possibly unsettling food pic

@Felthry kinda tangential, but on the topic of commonly-available exotic-looking foods: the first time I saw Romanesco broccoli in a grocery store I kinda stopped and stared for a bit

@starseeker Romanesco broccoli is really pretty! as we understand it one of the main reasons it's used in stuff is for that distinctive look

re: possibly unsettling food pic

@Felthry yeah it's fascinating to look at
don't really care for eating broccoli/cauliflower/etc myself though >.>

re: possibly unsettling food pic

@starseeker that's fair! it's one of our favorite vegetables personally

also fun broccoli fact: broccoli is actually the same exact species as
- cauliflower (you probably guessed this one)
- cabbage
- lettuce
- kale
- brussels sprouts
- collard greens
- kohlrabi (aka german turnip)
