@kat i wouldn't say we're a kingdom hearts liker but we've played it and when the orange bar fills up to X MP worth of bar, where X is your current MP, you recover 1 MP
this means it's easy to recover MP when you're close to empty, but hard to when you're close to full
-F
@Felthry my MP bar is completely full and there's still an orange bar on it though
@kat yeah, that means you have enough stored up that as soon as you use magic you'll get one MP restored
-F
@Felthry this is immediately confusing haha
@kat the only reason we remember how it works is because it was extremely confusing to us too
-F
@kat the orange bar fills up as you collect mp orbs
if you currently have 1 mp and the orange bar fills up to the same level as 2 mp (i implied it would be just 1 before, that was incorrect but we haven't played it in like, ten years, sorry), the orange bar will empty and you now have 2 mp
if you had 2 mp and fill the bar to 3 mp, you will now have 3 mp, and so on
when you're at full mp you can still collect a full mp meter of orange, this basically means you have one more MP than your max
-F
@Felthry okay, got it so far, but some spells use one segment of the orange gauge and not the blue one?? so are they like more efficient at high MP since 1MP is 4 orange meter sections instead of one
@kat yeah basically
i forgot that some spells work that way
-F
@Felthry so if i use fire at 3mp but don't have any orange gauge, it'll just use an entire MP each time, but if i have an orange gauge it'll use bits of that first?? weird
@kat i am not sure--i think it just takes off an mp and refills the orange gauge? i don't remember sorry
-F
@kat (because as soon as you use any mp, you will then have enough orange to restore one mp)
