Changing batteries is faster than recharging a built-in lithium polymer pack, cuts down on e-waste since you only need to replace battery cells (or proprietary packs) instead of the entire device, and in a lot of cases it feels cooler to jam a fresh battery or set of batteries into a device than it does to plug it in to a power source.

That last one's why I like changing batteries the most.

But, I also like not having to toss out An Whole-Assed Flashlight or whatever just because the battery won't hold a charge.

@LexYeen we've replaced the batteries in our phone twice, and if it hadn't had replaceable batteries we'd have had to just get a new one
