pokemon arceus

well we're out of leads now

filled every bit of pokedex we knew about except spiritomb (who i think we know how to catch but don't want to do that now)

the remaining ones are pokemon we've not even seen

re: pokemon arceus

@Felthry Spiritomb is... Definitely a quest to obtain.

As for the ones you haven't seen, they might be rare spawns or they might only appear in space-time rifts.

re: pokemon arceus

@LexYeen several of them are baby pokemon--we don't have cleffa, pichu, or bonsly, but i'm not sure about the others

re: pokemon arceus

@Felthry Oh yeah, those are all rare spawns.

Bonsly shows up in the same places as Sudowoodo, and I had one leap out of a rock formation in the Crimson Mirelands once. Wish I could remember where I found the Pichu I caught, and I don't remember if I have a Cleffa yet.

re: pokemon arceus

@LexYeen @Felthry I've finished my dex, so some more gentle hints follow.

---

The general rule for the rare spawns is they interleave with their older counterparts. So if you look at where your dex says Pikachu or Clefairy are, they should spawn there after a few region reloads.

Although the locations can be weird or inconsistent (as in a corner of the named area), and I kind of do recommend breaking out a guide if you can't find them after a few tries.

re: pokemon arceus

@Goldkin @LexYeen would you be able to give any more specific advice on pichu, because the guides are not helpful and i don't know if it's just not spawning or if we aren't understanding where this is talking about

@Goldkin @LexYeen and then shortly after sending that i find one

pichu spawn info (pokemon arceus)

@Felthry @Goldkin All of the following information is derived from Serebii.net, in the event you'd like to catch more reliably.

Pichu is in the spawn tables for three specific areas: Floaro Gardens and Nature's Pantry in the Obsidian Fieldlands, and a specific spot of the Golden Lowlands in the Crimson Mirelands.

In Floaro Gardens it has an 8.85% chance of spawning during morning, day, and evening, with a 5.13% chance during the night due to the addition of Drifloon to the spawn tables. There is also a 0.88% chance of an alpha spawn during the morning, day, and evening, with those odds dropping to 0.51% at night.

In Nature's Pantry, the odds are 7.46% during the morning, day, and evening, and an alpha spawn chance of 0.75% during those same times, with no odds at night.

The location in the Golden Lowlands is on the northern portion of the plateau directly north of Mirelands Camp, where the alpha Raichu spawn is. It's the spawn north of that Raichu, and only that spawn. The odds are more dependent on weather conditions here, and the odds overall are also lower than both locations outlined above, so I do not recommend it unless your concern is travel time from load-in location.

re: pichu spawn info (pokemon arceus)

@LexYeen @Goldkin see the one they explicitly do don't recommend is where we finally found one

re: pichu spawn info (pokemon arceus)

@Felthry @Goldkin And that's just how random odds work! :blobcatgooglyshrug:

Glad you found it all the same!

@Felthry @Goldkin And, for the record, I only provide this because I was nearly done when you announced your capture and figured the information would be useful to document. 💙
