Louis CK rant, extremely long and kinda angry toot

Apparently Louis CK said that the point of comedy is to say things that you shouldn't say. First of all, that only applies to black humour, which arguably CK doesn't do very well. Second of all, this means that a lot of politicians are great comedians. Third of all, it is entirely possible to do comedy within the bounds of politeness and political correctness and all that jazz. Hell, a not insignificant portion of my jokes are about innocently dumbass inventions, not that I'd consider myself a comedian. Most of my other jokes are wordplay, and I think that all of the other jokes are dark observational humour. It is entirely fucking possible to be funny while not saying things just to piss people off.

(Just a final bit, CK has to know that what he said isn't true, because one of the more important parts of standup comedy is knowing what your audience wants to hear. That means saying things you SHOULD say in front of that audience, not saying things you SHOULDNT say in front of that audience.)

Disclaimer: I'm an asshole, I'm not a comedian, I'm definitely not funny, and I already have a grudge against CK because they're a garbage comedian who isn't funny most of the time, and they're not even trying to BRUSH OFF their sexual abuse of others, they're fucking revelling in it.

@InTheLandOfTheRisingSun Dimitri Martin is A) very funny and B) not at all offensive to anyone (except maybe to whomever named the orange, and people who really enjoy a leather vest)
