I need to get this thought out while I still have most of it in my head.
Gender gets in the way. There are so many other trappings and extra things to keep track of that just take up too much time and get in the way of the things you really want to be doing with your life.
(okay, i apparently gained back a lot of touch typing skills and speed cause am hammering on my laptop like a madman)

@kelseyhusky I can dig it; if gender's performative, it takes energy by definition. And if other identifiers are similarly performative, then maybe it's useful to be picky about which performance we do, where we put our energy?
