Reading this old WEG Star Wars module has me stoked to run or play, it really is my favorite TTRPG; and reminds me I’m curious about Andor, since that sounds like a take on the SWverse which I’d find interesting.

@Leucrotta Dude.

/Dude./

Andor is the best Star Wars of the modern era. It understands the setting as well as George Lucas and Dave Filoni understand it, if not *better.* I think people looking to get into Star Wars for the first time should watch it instead of the original trilogy.

I cannot suggest it highly enough.

@LexYeen I saw a couple of clips with the Stellan Skarsgard character - one of them had the sort of dialogue that Lucas would *try* to write, only actually well written, and the other was a narrow escape from an Imperial cruiser. Both gave me the impression (I think you and someone else talked about the series here) that it's very much about resistance to a big, well off space empire, rather than that being background to explain larger than life pulp heroics.

@Leucrotta It's so good that my anarchist ass was surprised Disney funded it. And it's so good it answers the question of "How did they get money from Disney for this?" *in its own text* by showing that sometimes all people care about is making a number go up in an absolutely *gobsmacking* arc near the end of the first season.

And yes, we may know where Cassian's story ends going into it, but all that means is nearly *everybody else* is fair game for the cruel hand of fate.

I cried on multiple occasions for multiple reasons. I am *thoroughly* convinced you'll love it.
