it's been a while since I went into coyote cooking frenzy
made a lot of fried rice with Chinese sausage and bok choy to use up remaining rice from last week
made rice to replace last week's now-in-the-fried-rice
making soy sauce chicken to test out the recipe

follow up;
the chicken turned out good, though it's not the really rich flavor and color I hoped for, I want to simmer it for a LOT longer in the future.
making sauce from some remaining stuff used to boil chicken didn't work out. Next time I'm using a pan and slowly working in corn starch.
