I'm going to let my GP know next week when I see her about the dizzy stuff, and also ask what she thinks about me getting a cane for balance. I hope she's supportive.
I've done a little bit of research so I know what kind(s) to be looking for in order to help me, not to mention how to measure the length, but I'll ask my GP for further advice about it.
Apparently I'd need one that stands up on its own to best help with balance, which makes sense. I've seen the big four-footed bottom ones, and there's apparently slightly smaller ones that can still stand up on their own.
I mostly just need it to lean on until the dizzy passes, although there is the rare occasion I need to sit back down instead. But something that can stand up on its own sounds pretty useful.
I think I'd end up using it around my house more than anything but if the problem is going to get worse then I might need it out of my house too.
@Bel_tamtu Also if you get a cane, you then have an idea of how practical or impractical it is. I'm all for getting it just to test out the concept, if you can afford it.
