I feel connected to my Swedish ancestors. I TANGENTIALLY like music which pulls on Scandinavian history and pagan mythology (there's a lot of music I like which has nothing to do with where my people came from. Music is music. It's bigger than ANY culture.)
I don't feel anything about being "white" (if I qualify, that's a complete other ethnic rant). Ooooh, my ancestors are from EUROPE and therefore I get terrible sunburns, that sure says a lot about me doesn't it?

OH YEAH I'MA GO TO A VAGUELY EUROPEAN FESTIVAL. I can hear flamenco guitar playin' already, and I can't wait to wolf down loukamades while watching caber tossing. Presumably outside so I can get a hugely terrible sunburn.
Oh right, the way people commemorate the vaguest possible description of European ancestors (you know, like what practically all African Americans have) is apparently by being a MASSIVE JERK. I'd way rather eat loukamades while watching caber tossing.
