Furry community question!

Do people make unjustified assumptions about your personality/traits based on your species?

Conversely, do people make accurate assumptions about your personality based on species?

The whole "foxes are incredibly libidinous" thing is a complicated one for me. A lot of the time it's accurate, and a big part of me kind of resents that it is. Other times in my life it's been extremely not correct. For a while I was also dating an ace fox, so that makes it feel a bit more irritating.

@starkatt I think “foxes are libidinous” is largely artifactual despite some descriptions of fennecs. Fandom full of horny folks jumping each other’s bones partly online? And fandom where a lot of people present as red foxes because they’re iconic and charismatic? My support here is that skunks, rabbits and horses all get similarly typecast as The Horny Species.
