@skolli huh, you managed to articulate a discomfort that I hadn't really realized needed articulating but thank you because now I realize why that makes me uncomfortable when people say "your character" referring to me

And they're all more trouble than they're Worth.
I mean this almost sounds like an Otherkin-level dysmorphia. Speaking from experience.
@Motodrachen @skolli @IrisKalmia I've generally just used the term otherkin to refer broadly to any non-human identity of any intensity. Is that not how you use it?
