I use a neopets fansite called Leopets a lot lately. It's a clone of what neopets used to be like, using older official art and emphasizing user contribution to items/pet colors. A big part of it is Nostalgia. It's been really therapeutic for me lately and I wish there was a mastodon community for neopets stuff so I could talk about it here more. In my next post I'm gonna talk a little New Media theory about Neo's early setup and why it was such a big deal for a bunch of young creators like me
@pexl I know we've seen at least one other person talk fondly about neopets on here. I don't remember who it is but you should get together with them and start a community for neopets stuff!
