I don't want to go to urgent care if i can help it
@Felthry *nod*
@Oneironott Also: *many hugs* Here's hoping you feel better soon.
@Oneironott If you go home, don't take anything that might mask symptoms if your condition starts to get worse (indicating a need for emergency services). That includes no painkillers*, over-the-counter or otherwise. Ice packs are your friend.
* Especially, no ibuprofen, naproxen, or other NSAIDs! They prevent clotting, which is the last thing you need after your brain has been smacked around against the inside of your skull.
@Oneironott Either way, if you can arrange for it, try not to be alone for the rest of today? When something starts to go wrong in a head injury case, confusion is a typical symptom, so the injured person is often the last to realize that they need help.
@Oneironott fwiw I had to go to an urgent care place recently (spider bite yaye!) and it was, if anything, easier, faster, and smoother than any doctor's visit I've ever had.
it's totally ok if you decide not to go of course, and @Jssra 's advice is spot on. if you can't have somebody be physically present, try to stay online with us for a while, yes?
we care about you, hon. *gentle hugpets and soothing headthoughts sent*
@Oneironott @green Do your roommates know what happened and to check on you when they get in? (Were it me, I'd have whoever got home first wake me up to see how I was doing.)
@Oneironott @Jssra we'll be thinking of you and keeping a virtual ear and eye open as well, hon.
@Oneironott @green Okay. Take care.
@Oneironott Do go if there seem to be signs of it being more severe than just a headache. But I understand wanting to not if you can avoid it. Rest is good!
