Personal Views of Postfurry's Definition

As I continue to seek out a streamlined method of describing postfurry, I can sum my perspective in one single paragraph.

While "core furry" is materialistic, Postfurry is existential. We collectively share the struggle of existing as nonhuman beings inhabiting a human vessel. Not only is it a gender struggle, it's the added effect of not even feeling human to begin with.

@Roady_Dragonfae I disagree with your assessment of furry as materialistic but agree with your assessment of postfurry; there seems to be an essential discomfort with WYSIWYG identity that isn’t there in the mainstream as much.

@Roady_Dragonfae like there’s a segment of furries who are basically club kids who get that a rave can be a deeply spiritual deal, but who are also happy to have that, then smoke some weed, drink and hang out. There aren’t any postfurries who are *just* that.

@Leucrotta When I observe the trajectory of the mainstream furry community over my ten plus years of involvement, I notice a trend towards an increasingly high school esque mentality of trying to be the most popular kid on the block. Now, I'm open to the fact that it may have always been that way and I simply grew out of it. But, it's glare has become increasingly harsher to me over these last five years. Especially after I quit drinking.
