Apparently PSPs are very easy to softmod and have a huge homebrew and emulation library.

We should get one sometime. How much do they go for used in good condition, I wonder....

@Felthry PSPs really don't cost that much for a used one.
From what I remember, most PS1 games run well when converted to use the official emulator, and it can do most things below that, but for N64/GC/PS2, you'd need one of the newer Android/Windows handhelds

@Dex @Felthry Still, $70-ish is out of our price range at the moment. We would probably use it for emulating PS1 and GBA at the latest, so the unsurprising fact that it can't emulate n64 or ps2 well isn't a problem.

@Rosemary @Felthry I mean, N64 emulation might have improved since I tried it.

But yeah, for a portable emulation device, I can't think of a better alternative right now - a Raspberry Pi or an original Wii would likely be cheaper for a home based device, but making a RasPi portable seems like a more expensive option when factoring in the cost of the kit.

@Dex @Felthry For sufficiently old games, we have a softmodded PS2 that works well for emulation, though we mostly just use our computer for it.
