@SomeEgrets i think while the words might, the vocals don't really lend itself well to being menacing

@thingywott yeah, exactly. The "don't forget" verse is repeated over and over through the whole soundtrack, so it's obviously an important theme.
At first glance, I took it to be like, reassuring - Ralsei being like, "hey, don't forget, I'm here for you buddy!"
But then like, you've got the Chara interpretation. Reminding you that they're still in there. And then they take over in the dead of night (dark) and tear your SOUL out. So.

@thingywott another (admittedly really shaky) thing I noticed was that out of all the tracks, I think that verse repeats most aggressively in "Field of Hopes and Dreams" and the "THE WORLD REVOLVING" (JEVIL), so there could definitely be some dual meaning there. I don't think Toby does *anything* by accident when it comes to the soundtrack

the icing on the cake was seeing delta rune assets that dated all the way back to 2012
