"I need a name for that stuff that knights took with them on the Crusades. *wikipedia/startpage* Right! Panforte! Wait, that's Italian/Latin. I could translate, but I don't want to introduce a hapax for slang; nobody'll get it. I need a name. I know, road cakes! Wait, no, that's disgusting. That's actually terrible, buni. Try again."

@literorrery .....you could always go with the Tolkien reference and say 'lambas bread' but I doubt that's any better :P

Writing

@KoBunny I could, but I'd rather rip off my own work first, if I can. "ridebread and weak ale" will suffice, I think, to get the point across.

And it's "lembas." I looked it up 'cause I started with "waybread" and the internet grognards had prepared for that possibility. =>,<=

Writing

@literorrery @KoBunny Funny, I always thought "Waybread" was for breaking the loaf open so that you could travel the Ways. More like Gatebread, if you will (or if you will not).
